This self-paced course is designed to help you stop relying on instinct alone. Through videos, readings, and customized GPT reflections and discussions, you will create a clear development path for building cultural capacity, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of your culture and that of others, to notice what is happening, to interpret it more accurately, and to choose your response intentionally in real-world leadership moments.

Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®)

This course includes access to the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®), a research-based assessment that assesses intercultural competence and developmental orientation.

After enrolling, you will receive an email with instructions to complete the IDI®. Completion of the assessment is part of the course experience.

IDI® post-assessment timing

A post-assessment can be taken at any time after the course.

• The minimum recommended wait time after the first assessment is about 10 weeks.

• A longer window often shows if there is a change.

• A practical recommendation is 6 to 12 months.
