Working across cultures gives you exposure. Exposure is not the same as skill.
If you lead across cultures, you have faced, will face, or are facing a complex intercultural issue. You know that you can do everything “right” and still lose trust, trigger tension, or misread what matters in a situation. Those nuances and small misreads compound into stalled decisions, quiet resistance, and unnecessary breakdowns in communication and collaboration.
This self-paced course is designed to help you stop relying on instinct alone. Through videos, readings, and customized GPT reflections and discussions, you will create a clear development path for building cultural capacity, enabling you to gain a deeper understanding of your culture and that of others, to notice what is happening, to interpret it more accurately, and to choose your response intentionally in real-world leadership moments. Two live sessions are scheduled during the course. In these sessions, participants will receive group interpretations and participate in Q&A.
Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®)
This course includes access to the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®), a research-based assessment that assesses intercultural competence and developmental orientation.
After enrolling, you will receive an email with instructions to complete the IDI®. Completion of the assessment is part of the course experience.
What’s included: A copy of your results and group interpretation.
IDI® post-assessment timing
