Entertainment 101 for Actors is designed for aspiring and emerging actors ages 16 and older who want to understand not only the craft of acting, but also the business behind building and sustaining a professional career.

Approached from the actor’s perspective, the course introduces students to the entertainment industry as a business and explores the roles, relationships, decisions, and professional expectations that shape an actor’s career.

The course is built on the belief that aspiring actors should take an active role in their professional growth, make informed decisions, and develop the knowledge needed to navigate the entertainment industry with greater confidence.

The course is also valuable for producers, casting professionals, parents of young performers, and others who are new to the entertainment industry and want a stronger understanding of how the business works.

Students will have access to practical resources and guided opportunities to explore industry topics, conduct research, ask questions, and examine real-world situations. Discussions, assignments, quizzes, and other activities are designed to strengthen critical thinking and help students apply what they learn to their own professional goals.

Throughout the course, students are encouraged to contribute questions and suggest topics that deepen the learning experience.
