Tsente Hibiscus (Folere) Tea Blend

This blend contains hibiscus, ginger, and lemon-grass. Use an 8 -16 oz cup or larger. Bring water to a boil (212 degrees), add one teaspoon of tea, and steep for 8-10 mins for hot drinks. Add sweetener as desired. Sweetener options for cold drinks include organic pineapple juice. Boil the skin and core of the pineapple for 10 – 15 minutes, drain, and add a desired quantity to the tea. You can also blend the rest of the pineapple and mix it with a large quantity of the tea to create what is commonly called Folere in Cameroon. Creating Folere juice is an adventure. You can add other ingredients such as lemon, lemon, garlic, and clove. Other names for Folere: Zobo in Nigeria, Bissap in Senegal, Congo, Mali, and Burkina Faso, Sobolo in Ghana, Agua de Jamaica in Jamaica, Mexico, West Indies, Sorrel in the Caribbean, and many others.
