Description
This herbal tea contains organic South African Honeybush. This blend is for 8 -16 oz cups. Bring water to a boil (212 degrees), add one teaspoon of tea, and steep for 8-10 mins for hot drinks. Add sweetener as desired.
Honeybush herbal tea is caffeine-free and grows in the Tsitsikamma mountains slopes and areas within the Eastern and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa. From September to October, the bushes in the area are covered with yellow flowers with a sweet honey fragrance. The product leaves and stems are harvested, fermented, and dried to produce honeybush tea leaves. Honeybus is produced from the leaves of aspalathus linearis plant, and Rooibos is made from the leaves of cyclopia intermedia plant are both South African teas. Honeybush grows in the wild, while Rooibos is farmed. For centuries, honeybush tea has been used by the Indigenous Khoisan for medicinal purposes before commercialization. The product is believed to have nutritional and health benefits such as improved digestion and reduced inflammation.
