This course offers the fundamental knowledge from the perspective of the actor to anyone ages 12 to 18 years and above. This course takes a business management approach, particularly theory Y, implying that stakeholders in the entertainment industry want to take active roles in their professional growth and are self-motivated to enhance their knowledge of this sector. Other stakeholders such as producers, casting directors, parents, etc., who are new to the industry will also find value in this course. Students will be provided resources and opportunities to explore and learn with guidance from the instructor. To enhance critical thinking, research, and collaboration, students are encouraged to ask questions and suggest discussion topics that will enhance knowledge and contribute to the class. Discussions, assignments, quizzes, and more will all be used to evaluate students’ understanding of course content. Closing the course by emphasizing the importance of taking charge of your career as an actor.
Students must have a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone with a speaker/mic with a built in camera, webcam, or attached camera.
